Sound of Art presents SUPERWOMAN, an exhibition that pays homage to our women artists, as they showcase their unique voices and expressions of their identities through art. Often juggling multiple roles, with their varied life experiences and backgrounds, these artists weave stories and causes they care about into each stroke of their paintbrushes.

From bold, expressive strokes that blend Western with Eastern techniques, to scenic imageries depicting freedom and playfulness, come face to face with a spectrum of emotions and thought-provoking works that define what it means to be SUPERWOMAN.

In An Ode to the Lion City, Sound of Art tells of our artist's love for Singapore through every day elements, such as food, public housing, architecture, and tales of homecoming.

These works reflect the artists’ experience of growing up or living in Singapore, and their hopes for Singapore to be a home that blesses those who flock to her shoes.

Our hope is to share with guests from all around the world that Singapore is not merely a land of the Crazy Rich Asians, but a unique and intriguing creation: a port city-turned-global hub that has survived and thrived over 200 years of constant reinvention and multicultural evolution.

To those who call the Lion City Home: We hope this exhibition encourages you to be lionhearted in living our your destinies!

I am happy to annouce that I am taking part in the “I am a mother!” art exhibition, happening in @shopdesignorchard, 11 May – 15 June. 

What makes a mother? What does the title of “mother” denote? How is it defined? What meaning does it give? What form does it take? What pain, suffering, joy, dreams, hopes, worries, dirtiness, beauty, glory, pride, shame… and more does it take to be a mother?

“Mother·Art·Healing” Mothers’ Day art exhibition with the title “I am a mother!” is organised by Mama on Pallete in partnership with The Red Pencils (Singapore), proudly supported by Design Orchard Retail Showcase and Singapore Fashion Council.
